Studio Mas is a domestic architecture, design, and planning firm that serves our clients as trusted advisors, combining localized expertise with global perspective wherever new opportunities arise. We have a small team of professionals in our Dallas office, and our Texas presence is rapidly growing.

SANTOS CATALAN, AIA

CFO & Founder

With 15+ years of experience, Santos founded Studio Mas+ Architects. He is a Design oriented architect whose experience expands the nation, having built in multiple states and in various project types, from large commercial mixed-use projects to intimate lakefront vacation homes.

His unique attention to detail, client satisfaction and his quest to always go above and beyond make him a leader in the industry. He has participated in countless award wining projects and competitions.

He is also an active member of the community, volunteering with High School students and also serves a chair of the Latinos in Architecture in the Institute of Architects. He lives in Dallas and has two daughters.

TAN NGUYEN, AIA

Partner

Tan has over 15 years of professional experience from commercial buildings, mixed-use, planning and retail experience to Studio Mas. He has worked on some of the most significant retail and mixed-use projects around the country. Before that, Tan worked in large scale projects around the globe.

Tan is a dedicated architect and proud of the craft. He believes the success of the teams are critical for making every project a success.

Tan loves to enjoy his time with his family and has a passion for anything outdoors.

JOEL MARTINEZ, ASSOC. AIA

Senior Design Manager

With 15+ years of experience, Joel joined Studio Mas in 2022 to help lead the growing practice and lead projects from planning to completion. Joel has amassed and ample experience in mixed-use, retail and hospitality projects.

Joel’s passion for high-level design and his attention to detail help him lead teams and projects to deliver our clients a unique product.

He has lived in Dallas for the last 25 years and enjoys camping, hiking and biking.
